The first event for Radio Droogdok installation – the gorgeous, colourful Love Babylon Circus Sideshow, at Landbouwbelang, Maastricht!
The installation destination is inside the building, and before the hut is built.
Visitors hear first podcasts and new things in edit – Transition Transmission Prelude; ADM Dawn Chorus; The Magic of Radio.
We make a live link via skype between Landbouwbelang, Maastricht and Stroud Valleys Artspace, Stroud.
This is to introduce directors – of Love Babylon Circus Sideshow, Virginie Moerenhout, and Jo Leahy of SVA, and artists – exhibiting in LBB, Bart de Woolf, to Dan Rawlings exhibiting in the gallery at SVA. Our chat moves between different communication equipment in order to hear each other better – we plug in 1940’s radio, and 1930’s intercom for speakers.
Recordings are made around the event – my favourite, Leila’s (of Cirque du Platzac) baby’s heartbeat being monitored in her womb, to be used in a production mix with Max Swagemasters violin…
